Lucid Creations was born as a reflection of the daily struggle with mental health. Lucid can mean luminous, bright, and glowing. Lucid can also mean clear-minded and stable. For those struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, living can be exhausting. Every day you are fighting a battle in your mind, and every night you lie with your demons. It can feel dark and lonely, apathetic and numb. Time doesn’t stop; it just moves on around you. But as the sun rises each day, we must find the light that keeps us moving forward. You must remind yourself who and what you are fighting for and why that battle is so important.

 

For the better part of three decades, I have struggled with my own mental health: therapy, medications, and a few trips to the hospital. Yet here I am, every day, writing my own story. My light has changed over the years as I’ve grown and learned. Today, I have two lights, my sons. Lucid Creations is about finding your light and finding your peace. Each candle will transport you away to your happy place. So, here’s to the highs and the lows, the clarity and the chaos, the light and the dark.
